Frank Altemöller
Dr. iur. Frank Altemöller currently holds the position of a Research Fellow at the Institute of Customs and International Trade Law at the University of Münster. At the same time, he belongs to a group of scholars that represents the ‘Visiting Faculty’ at the institute. He previously worked as a professor at the Harz University of Applied Sciences from 2010 to 2021, where he also headed the ‘European Administrative Management’ degree programme. He studied in Münster, Berlin and Geneva. At the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland, he completed a doctoral degree in law (Ph.D.), taking an interdisciplinary approach to his studies, with a thesis on world trade and environmental protection. Frank Altemöller works with numerous organisations, such as the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe. He has developed educational programmes for the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and GIZ. He holds visiting professorships and gives guest lectures at home and abroad, for example at various universities in China, the Russian Federation, the Middle East, the Caucasus, Africa and Latin America.
